Frogtime is a checkers-like puzzle minigame where the player, Bonnie, competes against other characters using frogs. Winning in Frogtime increases Bonnie’s self-worth. In Frogtime, players deploy a team of frogs on a field with the goal of advancing to the opponent’s end line. Each frog possesses unique movement abilities, such as hopping, pushing, or dashing.

Setup
[edit | edit source]At the start of a match:
- The player’s toadbag contains a maximum of eight frogs.
- Five frogs are randomly selected into the player’s current bag.
- Three frogs must be chosen from this selection and placed on the starting line of the field.
The opponent also chooses three frogs on the opposite side.
Gameplay
[edit | edit source]Frogtime is played in turns.
- During each turn, both the player and the opponent move one of their three frogs. A frog can move one cell in any direction.
- You can't use the same frog again before you've used up all your other frogs.
- When frogs move, they cannot land on the same spot.
The primary objective is to move frogs across the field and reach the other side of the field. When a frog successfully reaches the end line:
- Each frog does a specific amount of damage.
- Once you get your frog to the other side it will damage your opponent's damage board.
- You win when you get your opponents damage board to zero.
At the end of round, if at least one frog has reached the opponent’s end line:
- The player is offered a selection of five remaining frogs from their toadbag.
- There always need to be 6 frogs on the field after a turn.
